To make a long story short, my modem is fried. Fried fried fried. I thought it was the drivers, but I re-loaded those onto my machine, and it can't get a dial tone. Diagnostics have pinpointed the problem: the modem is fried.

I'm posting this from work, but I can't get all of your pictures up from here. I am truly very sorry for all of you who have put in such hard work and expected to see something this morning. If I can't get a new modem tonight, I'll get everything smuggled in to work and get it all posted from here tomorrow. I appreciate your patience; maybe, since this was a "snapshot" idea, you could just play make-believe and pretend the pictures are being developed...
